Frequently Asked Questions

What is RoHS Compliant?
The Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) is a European Union directive, in force since 2006, which prohibits certain hazardous substances from being used in product manufacturing processes. This legislation limits the use of certain substances in the composition of products manufactured in the European Union, or imported from other countries such as the USA or China, to a total of 0.1%.
The restricted substances are as follows:
- Lead
- Mercury
- Cadmium
- Hexavalent chromium
- Polybrominated biphenyl
- Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
All Golfinho Sports products marked with this icon comply with this legislation.

What is IP46 Protection?
Ingress Protection (IP) levels are a classification system that assesses the degree of protection of equipment against the ingress of solids and liquids. This system is made up of two digits: the first indicates resistance against the penetration of solid objects and the second refers to protection against liquids.
The first digit varies between 0 and 6, where 0 means that there is no protection against solid objects and 6 means that the equipment is completely dustproof. The second digit varies between 0 and 8, where 0 means that there is no protection against water and 8 means that there is protection against continuous immersion in water.
In the case of the Wall Clock Nature (E5306), its protection level is IP46. The digit 4 means that this device is protected against the ingress of solid objects with a diameter of more than 1 mm. The digit 6 indicates that this device is resistant to powerful jets of water coming from any direction.

What is AISI-316L?
AISI-316L is a low-carbon stainless steel. It has excellent corrosion resistance, especially in environments with chlorides, aggressive chemicals and in constant contact with water, being superior to AISI-304L in these conditions.

What is AISI-304L?
AISI-304L is a low-carbon stainless steel that provides good corrosion resistance in general conditions. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, although it is less effective than AISI-316L in aquatic environments or those exposed to chlorides.
At Golfinho, all stainless steel in our equipment undergoes an electropolishing process, thereby enhancing its corrosion resistance. This procedure gives surfaces a shiny, smooth appearance, improving the quality and finish of the parts, as well as the durability of the equipment.
